"Gift Giving Tree" a Success at The Miami Valley Research Park
For the 2012 holiday season, the Miami Valley Research Foundation partnered with the Dayton Regional STEM School to sponsor a "Gift Giving Tree" for a local family in need of some extra holiday cheer.
The event was opened to all Research Park Residents allowing everyone the opportunity to participate. Gift tags were created from the family's wish list and placed on the Park's holiday tree inside the 1900 Founders building. With the generous donations from many "holiday elves", the Park Residents contributed nearly 30 gifts to our sponsored family. The eight member family all received something special this year to brighten their holiday season.
The gifts were delivered on Friday, December 21st, by a staff member from the Dayton Regional STEM School just in time to celebrate the season's holiday. The Miami Valley Research Foundation and the Dayton Regional STEM School would like to thank the employees in the Research Park for their generosity.
